Were you involved in a car accident but think you weren’t hurt because you didn’t go to the hospital?
Dr. Dallas George explains why that can be worse than a broken bone:
“Too often auto accident victims don't seek treatment following a car crash. Most likely they didn't feel they had sustained a serious injury. By far, the most common injury to the neck is a whiplash injury. Whiplash is caused by a sudden movement of the head, either backward, forward, or sideways, that results in damage to the supporting muscles, ligaments and other connective tissues in the neck and upper back. Although whiplash is the most common injury, we also see many low back, knee, wrists, and closed head injuries (MTBI - Mild traumatic brain injuries).
Unfortunately, as time passes more serious complications can develop, and some of the damage from these injuries may have become permanent. Numerous studies have shown that years after whiplash victims settle their insurance claims, roughly half of them state that they still suffer with symptoms from their injuries. If you have been in a motor vehicle or any other kind of accident, don't assume that you escaped injury if you are not currently in pain. Get an evaluation as soon as possible.”
Both Dr. Dallas S. George and Dr. Dan G. George, have the Advanced Certifications from the Spine Research Institute of San Diego for whiplash treatment. These are the most advanced and sought after credentials for treatment of whiplash injuries. These credentials, coupled with over 35 years combined clinical experience, makes Community Chiropractic and Wellness Group the premiere clinic for treatment of auto injuries. For those auto accident cases that need medical/legal support to be resolved, Dr. Dallas S. George and Dr. Dan G. George are both expert witnesses in the field.
Utah is a “no-fault” state, which means the health care you receive as a result of your accident is covered through your auto insurance. If the accident is not your fault, your care will still be covered by the insurance policy of the other party.

No-Fault State
What does “no-fault” mean? Regardless of who caused the accident, everyone involved is entitled to medical care and treatment. That means that every automobile insurance policy has medical benefits to help pay for treatment of injuries and pain. Every plan is required to have a minimum of $3,000.00 in coverage per accident. This coverage is called “Personal Injury Protection” (PIP) and the amount of coverage can be increased if the insurance subscriber chooses to do so. If you have been injured in an accident, or have pain from an accident, don’t hesitate to seek treatment. Our doctors will get you back on the path to wellness.
